Dr. Michael Mojekeh is a lecturer at Anambra State University, (Uli) Igbariam Campus, Anambra State, Nigeria. He hails from Amoji village, Agulu in Anaocha Local Government Area of Anambra State. He: was born in 1959. He did his primary education at both St. Andrew Primary School, Odoakpu and All Saints Primary School, Onitsha. He obtained the First School Leaving Certificate in 1974. Michael completed his secondary education at Agulu Boys Secondary School, Agulu and came out in flying colours in 1979. He read Marketing at the University of Nigeria, Enugu Campus, after decamping from the Department of Chemistry, where he was initially admitted. Apart from his B.Sc Degree in 1984, Michael further obtained Masters Degree in Business Administration in Marketing from Nnamdi Azikiwe University, Awka in 2005, MBA-Executive (Banking and Finance) UNN, 1993, M.Sc/PhD in Marketing from Ebonyi State University, Abakaliki,. His working career started as a Sales representative Ekulo Farms Limited and Lexi Industries Limited Sapele, Delta State, Nigeria; a Trainee Bank Officer (Credit and Operations) with Savannah Bank Plc, where he rose up to a Senior Manager. He later joined the Metallurgical Training Institute, Onistha where he headed the Materials Management Department (2003 – 2007). He is today, a Lecturer in the Department of Marketing, Anambra State University, Uli, where he teaches, Principles of Marketing, Marketing Management, Consumer Behaviour Analysis, Purchasing and Inventory Control and Sales Management/Distribution courses. He is a member of many professional institutes such as: Associate Member, Institute of Chartered Management Auditors (ICMA). Fellow, Institute of Sales Management of Nigeria, (NISM) Associate Member, National Institute of Marketing of Nigeria, (NIMN). Member – African Association of Internal Auditors (MAAIA). He has also received many honourary awards. Michael is an Instructor/Senior Manager with U.S.A based world class multi-billion dollar company in multi-level marketing for Health-care products-GNLD. His ideas about marketing management, marketing research, marketing education and social issues in marketing, including the prevailing global economic crisis of capitalism, have been published extensively in many articles and he is still publishing in referred National and International Journals, Conference proceedings and edited volumes. Michael has participated in many in-service training programmes, national and international seminars/conferences including workshops on Management, Accounting, Marketing, Auditing and Credit Administration.
Michael has authored three mainline books:- Industrial Marketing Management: Principles, Perspectives and Practices; Consumer Behaviour and Marketing Strategy: An Integrated Approach; and Principles of Marketing. A Contemporary Approach. He also authored one non-mainline book: The Master Key to Healthy-Living.
He consults for governmental organizations and private establishments, in the areas of contemporary marketing management, good corporate governance and productivity and ethical and social issues in marketing. He is married and has children.
